Day 4: Gorilla Trekking

Following breakfast, with your packed lunch, you will proceed to the Park Headquarters for briefing. You will then join other trackers for a briefing on what to do and don’t do while tracking gorillas. Following that, you will be transported to your assigned gorilla family’s starting place to begin your journey through the stunning Impenetrable Bwindi Forest.

Your guides will lead you through dense creepers and foliage to discover the gorillas. This walk might take anything from 30 minutes to three-quarters of a day, depending on where the Mountain Gorillas are situated. The steeply wooded area is quite thick, although it is crisscrossed by numerous animal pathways that provide access for people.

It’s an incredible sensation to be around these lovely yet endangered creatures. Please keep in mind that gorilla trekking may be difficult, necessitating some level of physical condition. Once you’ve found the gorillas, you’ll have one hour to view and photograph them. Although this period may seem too short, the experience you gain will be worthwhile. You will then return to the park headquarters, where you will be presented with a certificate of tracking in acknowledgment of your efforts to save these endangered mountain gorillas.

Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer Back to Kampala/ Entebbe-Departure

Following your morning breakfast, you will be given a packed lunch before beginning your lengthy trip back to Kampala/Entebbe International Airport for a late departure from Uganda.
