Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale national park
Depending on your pickup location in Uganda, on the first day of the 5 Days Kibale and Bwindi Safari, you will be greeted by our representative, who will brief you about the safari before beginning the travel to Kibale National Park in western Uganda.
The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours via the Kampala-Mubende road; along the way, you will stop for lunch in Fort Portal and enjoy spectacular views of the beautiful landscape, traditional homesteads, local people, terraced farmlands, tea and banana plantations, views of the crater lakes, and the Rwenzori mountain ranges, among other things. Upon arriving at Kibale Forest National Park, you will settle into the lodge for an evening of leisure, dinner, and overnight stay at your preferred lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk
After an early breakfast on the second day of your 5 Days Kibale and Bwindi Safari, your driving guide will pick you up from the lodge and transport you to the park headquarters for a lecture on the laws and regulations of chimpanzee trekking. Following the briefing, you will begin hiking through the jungle, which will take between 30 minutes and 4 hours, depending on where the chimps spent the night before.
During the trek, you will see butterflies, birds, plants, primates, and mammals, among other things, and once the chimpanzees are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, allowing you to observe their behaviors and habits, watch them feed, breastfeed, play, hunt, fight, rest, and take photos and record videos with a flashless camera. After the chimpanzee hike, you will meet your driving guide and return to the lodge for lunch.
Following lunch, you will proceed on an amazing nature walk through Bigodi swamp, where you can see animals like as duikers and Sitatunga, primates such as vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and a variety of bird species such as the great blue turaco, among others. Following the nature walk, you will return to the lodge for leisure, dinner, and overnight stay as described above.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
On the third day of your 5 Days Kibale and Bwindi Safari, you will wake up in time for breakfast at your lodge. You will then checkout and find your driver guide waiting for you. You will embark on about a 5 hours’ drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park with a stopover for lunch enroute.
Upon your arrival in Bwindi, check-in at your lodge and spend the evening relaxing at your lodge or else you can embark on community walk where you will visit some of the neighboring local communities that live near the park.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
On the fourth day of your 5 Days Kibale and Bwindi Safari, you will have breakfast early in the morning and drive to the park’s briefing point for your 7am morning brief. You will be placed in tracking groups led by park rangers and guides and then head into the forest in search for your gorilla family.
Once you have located your gorilla group, you will be given an hour to spend with these gentle creatures. You will also be given time to have your packed lunch before heading back to base where you will find your driver guide waiting for you.
Proceed back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure to Kampala/Entebbe
After an early breakfast on the final day of your 5 Days Kibale and Bwindi Safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet your driver guide for the journey to Kigali. On the journey, you will have lunch and enjoy breathtaking views of the gorgeous environment, traditional homesteads, terraced farmlands, and more. Upon arrival, our driving guide will drop you off in Kigali town.
