Detailed Itinerary for 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Park Fly-in Safari
Day 1: Fly to Queen Elizabeth National Park
During the first day of your four-day Queen Elizabeth National Park fly-in safari, you will connect for a domestic flight to the Mweya airport. The trip lasts around two hours, and when you arrive, you will meet your driver guide and be transferred to the resort for lunch and leisure.
Following lunch, you will travel on an afternoon wildlife drive to see creatures such as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, hippos, bushbucks, lions, and leopards, among others. After the game drive, you’ll travel back to the resort for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive/Lion Tracking Experience and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Following an early breakfast on the second day of your four-day Queen Elizabeth national park fly-in safari, you will meet your driver guide and go on a morning game drive where you will be able to see elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, warthogs, leopards, and various bird species, among others. After the wildlife drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
Following lunch, you will have an afternoon boat tour on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. During the boat journey, you will get the chance to see significant concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in the water, as well as creatures such as elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, and others drinking water along the lake’s banks, and water bird species. Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kalinzu Forest
After having breakfast at your lodge, you will meet up with your driver guide and head out to the park’s briefing point. Remember to carry your packed lunch from your lodge before setting off. After your morning brief, you will be placed in a group of fellow trekkers before heading out into the forest in search for a group of chimpanzees. Once you have identified a group of chimpanzees, you will be given an hour to spend with these playful creatures. Later have lunch and head back to your lodge where you will spend the rest of your evening relaxing at leisure. Later dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Fly Back to Entebbe.
On the last day of your four-day Queen Elizabeth National Park fly-in safari, you will have breakfast and meet your driving guide for another morning game drive, during which you will be able to see some of the species you missed the day before. After the wildlife drive, you will return to the resort for lunch before checking out and heading to Mweya airfield for your flight to Entebbe.
