Detailed Itinerary for 4 Days Murchison Falls National Park and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Safari.
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala/Entebbe and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
Whatever your location in Kampala, on the first day of your safari, you will be greeted by our driving guide, who will brief you on the safari before beginning the travel to Murchison Falls National Park. The trip takes roughly 5 to 6 hours, including a detour at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino trekking before continuing to Masindi town for en-route lunch.
Following lunch, you will continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will drive right to the top of the falls to experience breathtaking views of the cascade, water splashes, the roar of the water, and the gorgeous environment, among other things. After driving to the top of the falls, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
On the second day of the 4 Days Murchison Falls National Park and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary safari, after an early breakfast, you will meet your driving guide for a morning game drive to see animals at their most active. During the game drive, you will be able to see animals such as bushbucks, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, waterbucks, Jackson’s hartebeests, oribi, warthogs grazing in the savannah plains with due, predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas looking for a morning hunt, and various bird species, among others. Following the game drive, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch.
Following lunch, you will meet with your driver guide to go on an incredible boat journey to the bottom of the falls. During the boat ride, you will be able to enjoy spectacular views of the waterfall, snap stunning photographs, and see aquatic species like as hippos and Nile crocodiles, as well as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes sipping water along the coasts, and aquatic birds, among other things. After the boat excursion, you will return to the lodge for an evening of leisure, dinner, and overnight stay as described above.
Day 3: Nile Delta Boat Cruise and Game Drive
On the third day of your 4 Days Murchison Falls National Park and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary safari, you will have an early breakfast before being picked up by your driver guide from the lodge for an intriguing Nile delta boat trip that begins at the Parra jetty landing location and ends at Lake Albert’s shoreline.
During the Nile delta boat cruise, you will be able to see spectacular views of Murchison Falls, large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in the water, other animals such as Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, and waterbucks along the shores, water birds, and fishermen catching fish on Lake Albert in dugout canoes, among other things.
Following the Nile delta boat cruise tour, you will meet your driving guide and head back to the resort for lunch, followed by an evening wildlife drive to see any of the creatures you may have missed the day before. Following the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight, as described above.
Day 4: Departure to Kampala/ Entebbe
On the final day of your Uganda safari, you will have a relaxing breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your driver guide to begin your journey back to Kampala. On the way, you will have lunch and then travel to Kampala, arriving early evening, where your driver guide will drop you off at any location of your choice.
