Detailed Itinerary for 8 Days Serengeti Wildlife and Zanzibar Beach Safari
Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park- Game Drive Safari
You will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00 a.m. and taken on a breathtaking journey over the Great Rift Valley for a full-day game drive. Although small in size (205 square miles), the park boasts stunning beauty and is well-known for its lush acacia woodland, large figs, mahogany trees, and a burgeoning population of baboons and blue monkeys. This park’s permanent occupants include giraffes, elephants, impalas, and a large number of buffalo.
The lake also supports a big population of hippos. Lake Manyara’s sceneries are indescribable. The wildlife drives along the lake give excellent photo possibilities, with giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground and the lake in the backdrop. Some other trips are available, such as a bike tour or a boat excursion. In the afternoon, you’ll return to the campsite for dinner.
Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.
After an early breakfast, head for the world’s most famous national park, the Serengeti. The trip itself, albeit long, is breathtaking. This will be an amazing experience for everyone who witnesses it for the first time. As you go farther into the Serengeti, you will see why the term translates to “endless plains” in the native language. The park covers 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers), and for the majority of it, the plains stretch to the horizon, challenging your senses and concept of distance.
The park is also home to the great migration, 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and a variety of antelopes. When it comes to big cats and enormous predators, this is the spot to seek for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Many television sequences, including the renowned River Crossings, have been recorded in this park.
Day 3: Full Day Game Drive Safari in Serengeti National Park.
You’ll enjoy a full day in Serengeti National Park. We are entirely open to your choices, and this day will be planned according to your specifications. Every day of the Tanzania safari, your guide will discuss the optimum timings for you, such as game drives and wake-up time. For example, on this day, you may go on a morning game drive, then return to the camp for lunch and leisure before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, you might take a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
On this day, we recommend getting up extremely early to go on an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and view one of the most spectacular sunrises you’ve ever seen. After the wildlife drive, we’ll return to the camp for a delicious lunch before heading to Ngorongoro, the 8th Wonder of the Natural World. The crater covers 102 square miles and has 2,000-foot-high walls, making it a genuine Noah’s Ark and home to practically every type of animal native to East Africa.
It is one of the very few places on the continent where you may see the black rhino. The crater has a river, various marshes, a soda lake with a large number of flamingos, a forest, and open grasslands. It is also famed for its elephants, which are the biggest in the world with massive tusks. The Ngorongoro Crater is a wonderful natural wonder. Later have dinner and overnight stay at your camp/lodge.
Day 5: Crater Drive and Fly to Zanzibar
We will begin the day early and descend into the crater bottom for an unforgettable morning of wildlife in one of the most beautiful sites on Earth. Following the wildlife drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch at the picturesque Hippo Lake. After lunch, we’ll do a brief game drive before ascending the crater and leaving the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Afterwards, go to the airport, where you will board a flight to Zanzibar at 4:00 p.m. for three days of leisure with breathtaking vistas.
Day 6-7: Explore Zanzibar
You may relax and enjoy this paradise made up of stunning white-sand beaches and blue Indian Ocean waters. Extra activities include a day trip in Stone Town (which includes an Old Town guided tour, a Spice trip, and a visit to Prison Island – lunch is not included), as well as a half-day excursion.
Day 8: Departure
You may rest throughout the last hours of your travel. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your international journey.
