Detailed itinerary
Day one: transfer to akagera national park and evening boat cruise
On day one of your 7 days Rwanda safari, your guide for your safari will pick you from a location of your choice in Kigali city or Kigali international airport and take you through the briefing session of your entire safari. During the briefing session where your guide for the safari will give you an insight of the activities you will participate during your safari like gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking among other activities, you will also be briefed on the rules and regulations to follow during your activities and as you participate in your Uganda and Rwanda safari for an amazing safari as you visit Rwanda and Uganda. After the briefing session you will begin your safari by taking in part of the Kigali city tour where you will get to visit memorable sites like the Kigali genocide memorial museum where you will get to understand the events that led to the occurrence of the Rwanda genocide, you will also get to visit the Kimironko market the largest market in Rwanda where you will get to purchase souvenirs, organic fruits, Rwanda traditional attires among other products. At the climax of your Kigali city tour, you will get to visit one of the restaurants in the city where you will have tasty Rwanda dishes. you will get to transfer to akagera national park where you will participate in the evening boat cruise. During the cruise, you will get to see Hippos will be seen taking dips in the water, crocodile sun bathing as they also wait up on their capable prey, zebras, you will also get to watch the sunset which makes the park more beautiful as you get to watch a number of water birds like the African kingfisher catching prey in the park while you relax while on the evening boat cruise. At the end of your safari, you will head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day two: morning and evening boat cruise
On day two of your 7 Days Rwanda Wildlife & Primates Safaris, after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked by your guide who will transfer you to the pack in order to participate in the morning game drive. During the game drive, you will have the chance to see early risers in the park catching their first bite of the day for instance the rhinos, zebras, grazing in the plains of the park among other animal species. You will head back to your hotel for lunch and relaxation and later on in the evening, you will transfer back to the park to take part in the evening game drives which will give you the chance to see a number of animal species that you must have missed out on seeing during the morning game drives. The highlight of the evening game drive is the fact that you will get to see a number of carnivores like the hyenas, lions, leopards catching prey for dinner among other rewarding attractions. After the rewarding engagement head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day three: transfer to volcanoes national park
On day three of your 7 days Rwanda safari, after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will make your way you will make your way to volcanoes national park. On reaching the park you will check in your hotel where you will have leisure lunch and later on in the evening you will make your way to volcanoes national park for a rewarding nature walk where you will get to see a number of rewarding attractions like; a number of primates like the vervet monkey, golden monkey, black and white colobus monkeys, numerous bird species like for an amazing safari at the end you will transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay
Day four: Golden Monkey Trekking
On day four of your 7 Days Rwanda Wildlife & Primates Safaris, after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you from your hotel and transfer you to volcanoes national park in order to participate in golden monkey trekking where you will get to understand more about the primate species, on reaching the park, you will transfer to the park headquarters where they will get to know the golden monkey trekking guide in Rwanda, you will also be assigned to the guide and ranger who will ensure you have an amazing activity in the park. During golden monkey trekking, you will get to see a number of attractions like bird species, primate species which will ensure you have an amazing time and when you get the habituated golden monkey troop, you will get to know more about their behaviour in the park and get to take pictures of the primates and at the end of your trip you will transfer to you hotel for lunch and leisure and later on you will transfer to the Ibyiwacu cultural villages where you will get to know more about the culture of Rwanda as you are entertained you will participate in a number of activities like community walks, banana beer making, subsistence farming, and preparation of local dishes among other activities and in the evening you will transfer back to your hotel for dinner and over night.
Day five: nature walks
On day five of your 7 days Rwanda safari, after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the park to take part in the nature walks around the park where you will have the chance to see a number of rewarding attractions like the Musanze caves significant in the history of Rwanda, you will also get to see a number of rewarding attractions like the numerous primate species like dent’s monkeys, golden monkey’s and many other attractions. After the rewarding activity, you will transfer back to your hotel for lunch and later on in the evening, you will rest as have dinner as you await next day’s activities,
Day six: gorilla trekking
On day six of your 7 Days Rwanda Wildlife & Primates Safaris, after an early morning breakfast and with your packed lunch, you will be picked by your guide and transferred to volcanoes national park where you will get part of the amazing gorilla trekking activity in the park. When you get to volcanoes national park, you will head to the headquarters of park where you will undergo a briefing session about gorilla trekking in volcanoes national Park where you will get to know the guidelines to follow during gorilla trekking in volcanoes national park.. During the activity, you will get to hike the different Virunga Mountains in the park to access the different gorilla families where you will get to see a number of attractions like the different bird species like; the long-crested eagle handsome Francolin archer’s ground robin, African Rwenzori, double collared sunbird, marsh harrier, you will also get to see a number primate species before you get to the Rwanda gorilla family which will offer amazing experiences during the activity and when you get to the gorilla family, you will get to understand more about the primates by observing their feeding patterns, their grooming patterns among the different activities carried out for a memorable Rwanda gorilla tours which will make the 4 days double gorilla trekking in Rwanda quite memorable. At the end of your activity, you will get to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day seven: departure
On day seven of your 7 Days Rwanda Wildlife & Primates Safaris, after an early morning breakfast at the summit, you will make your way to descend the mountain and make your way to Kigali city where you will have lunch at one o the finest restaurant in the city and after you will be dropped o at a location o your choice in Kigali city or Kigali international airport and the end of your safari.
