Detailed itinerary for 6 days Rwanda tour
Day 1 ; Transfer to Akagera national park and Ihema boat cruise .
On arrival at the airport or any hotel in Kigali city, you will be picked by a safari guide (company representative) who will give you a short briefing about Akagera National Park in the east of Rwanda bordering Tanzania. The distance from Kigali to entrance gate of Akagera National Park and the travel time is approximately 2 -3 hours’ drive. Upon arriving Akagera national park you will see the beautiful broad leafed woodlands, rolling Grasslands with extensive series of lakes, acacia woodlands, undulating plains with dense wildlife sighting and other beautiful sceneries ,continue to your booked lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon,
you go for boat ride at Lake Ihema which will offer you with great views of the surrounding areas, hills and swamps, you will as well see crocodiles, hippos and more bird species .Later you return to the lodge for dinner and over- night stay

Day 2 ; Game drive and transfer to Volcanoes national park
Wake up early, have breakfast and leave the lodge for game drive that will last for 6 hours’ depending on your interests, You will go in search of animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, lions, several antelopes and introduced rhino since Akagera national park is varied for wide range of wildlife .After game drive ,return to the lodge for lunch and after head to Volcanoes national park that takes about 4 hours’ drive ,You will check in your booked lodge for dinner an overnight stay .

Day 3; Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park and Ibya’iwacu cultural tour
You will have an early morning breakfast on the second day of the safari and the driver will transfer you at RDB (Rwanda Development Board) for Briefing on what to do and what not to do while trekking gorillas, Set for Gorilla trekking that takes about 3-4 hours in Rwanda depending on the movement of gorillas, The rangers will lead you deep into the forest in search of gorillas, this experience is adventurous. You move up and down in the rugged terrain areas until you finally meet the gorillas , Your always allowed to spend only an hour with those Harmonious creatures taking pictures, seeing them breast feeding, feeding, playing as well as their behaviors. Also ensure you carry enough water with you, hats, sun glasses, rain coats, and non- flash cameras.
Later return to the lodge for Lunch and after proceed for Ibyiwacu cultural tours , Visit the kings palace and learn more about Rwandan culture through dances and singing performance from local dance troupes, then after return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 4; Transfer to Nyungwe Forest national park and afternoon Canopy walk.
You will have an early Morning breakfast and embark on 5-6 hours’ drive journey to Nyungwe forest national park in southern Rwanda. You will enjoy the great and beautiful sceneries along the way and a stopover en route lunch
You will arrive in Nyungwe forest national park on Time for a 3pm canopy walk tour schedule , You will meet you guide at Uwinka visitors center and set off to trek along the Igishigishigi trail leading to Canopy walk that takes 2 hours on a swing bridge 50 meters in the length that is suspended from large trees and deep valleys , Along the way you will observe numerous species of trees have a chance to see birds and monkeys and wonderful views of the vast forested landscape , After you will drive to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 5; Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe forest national park
You will enjoy an early morning breakfast and go for briefing where you will be advised the Rules and regulations of chimpanzee Trekking before entering the forest to start the trek adventure in Nyungwe forest national park (Cyamudongo chimps group) that takes 3-4 hours. The time taken to find the chimps cannot be predicated as they are moving from place to place, however chimpanzees are easy to spot as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing, you spend a maximum of one hour of following them around as they go about their normal lives. Meeting the chimpanzees in the wild is a great experience. The chimps are very active primates always moving from tree to tree so sometimes you are trying to catch up with them. They communicate by way of loud pant hoots, deafening screams and thunderous hitting of the tree barks, causing the hairs on your body to rise as you feel a rush of adrenaline…or call it catching fear!
After the amazing chimpanzee trekking adventure in Nyungwe you will return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 ; return to Kigali
After morning breakfast, you will return back to Kigali with en route ,visits the places that you may have missed. This day you may even opt for kigali city tour (in case you have time) then after you will be dropped off at Kigali international airport or any advised place in Kigali .
