Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
On day one of your 4 days Golden monkey trekking and mount karisimbi hike, your guide for your safari will pick you from a location of your choice in Kigali city or Kigali international airport and take you through the briefing session of your entire safari. During the briefing session where your guide for the safari will give you an insight of the activities you will participate during your safari like gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking among other activities, you will also be briefed on the rules and regulations to follow during your activities and as you participate in your Rwanda safari for an amazing safari. After the briefing session you will begin your safari by taking in part of the Kigali city tour where you will get to visit memorable sites like the Kigali genocide memorial museum where you will get to understand the events that led to the occurrence of the Rwanda genocide, you will also get to visit the Kimironko market the largest market in Rwanda where you will get to purchase souvenirs, organic fruits, Rwanda traditional attires among other products. At the climax of your Kigali city tour, you will get to visit one of the restaurants in the city where you will have tasty Rwanda dishes. After the rewarding experience, you will make your way to volcanoes national park. On reaching the park you will check in your hotel where you will have leisure lunch and overnight stay
Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking
On day 2 of your 4 days Golden monkey trekking and mount karisimbi hike after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you from your hotel and transfer you to volcanoes national park in order to participate in golden monkey trekking where you will get to understand more about the primate species, on reaching the park, you will transfer to the park headquarters where they will get to know the golden monkey trekking guide in Rwanda, you will also be assigned to the guide and ranger who will ensure you have an amazing activity in the park. During golden monkey trekking, you will get to see a number of attractions like bird species, primate species which will ensure you have an amazing time and when you get the habituated golden monkey troop, you will get to know more about their behavior in the park and get to take pictures of the primates and at the end of your trip you will transfer to you hotel for lunch and leisure and later on you will transfer to the Ibyiwacu cultural villages where you will get to know more about the culture of Rwanda as you are entertained you will participate in a number of activities like community walks, banana beer making, subsistence farming, and preparation of local dishes among other activities and in the evening you will transfer back to your hotel for dinner and over night.
Day 3: mount karisimbi hike
On day two of your 4 Days Rwanda Golden Monkeys & Mt Karisimbi Hike, after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the park to take part in the hike. While hiking the virunga mountains in Rwanda, you will get the opportunity to hike Mount Karisimbi which is quite a memorable mountain characterised with thick and dense vegetation that acts as a habitat to a number of attractions including bird species like handsome francolin, strange weaver, Archers ground robin, red faced woodland warbler, Ruwenzori double collared sunbird, Collared Apalis, Ruwenzori turaco, handsome francolin, strange weaver and butterfly species that will make birders have an amazing time during their stay in the park. As you hike mountain karisimbi, you will come across the Karisoke research centre that was established by the Late Dian Fossey that played a major role of protecting the endangered mountain gorillas to ensure the sustainability of the primate species. Therefore while hiking mount karisimbi you will get to see the research station. Additionally while hiking the mountain you will get to see the mountain gorillas for instance the Susa gorilla family that was studied by the late dian fossey the American primatologist and other gorilla families you will also have the chance to see the golden monkeys other interesting primates in the park that can also be seen along the bamboo trees along the mountains. You will camp at the camping zone at the summit o the mountain
Day 4: Departure
On day four of your 4 days Golden monkey trekking and mount karisimbi hike, after an early morning breakfast at the summit, you will make your way to descend the mountain and make your way to Kigali city where you will have lunch at one o the finest restaurant in the city and after you will be dropped o at a location o your choice in Kigali city or Kigali international airport and the end o your safari.
