Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Akagera national park and Ihema Boat Cruise.

Transfer to Akagera: On day one of your 4 Days Akagera Wildlife Safari You will be met by your guide a representative of our tour company who will pick you at a location of your choice in Kigali city welcome you to Rwanda the land of 1000 hills which will be evident during your transfer to akagera national park. Your guide will offer to give you a briefing session where you will get to know about the rules and regulations to follow to have an amazing and safe time when you visit Rwanda. During your transfer, you will get to see a number of attractions on the way to the park like a number of coffee plantations and tea plantations you will have a stopover for lunch and after transfer to Akagera National Park which will offer an amazing experience during your Rwanda tour.
Boat Cruise: On reaching Akagera National Park, you will participate in the afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will get to see a number of animal species like hippopotamuses, Crocodiles and you will also get to see rewarding experiences while you watch the sunset and a number of bird species catching prey like the African kingfisher, cormorants, spoonbills, you will also get to see a the endangered shoebills stork along the swamps later on you will transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Early morning game drive and evening game drive

Game Drive Safari: On day two of your 4 days Akagera National Park safari after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked by your guide who will transfer you to Akagera National Park and participate in the early morning game drives where you will get to see a number of early risers in the park like the impalas, zebras, rhinos, buffalos grazing in the plains of the park, you will also get to see a number of predators in the park like the hyenas, lions, and leopards trying to catch prey for their morning meal after your rewarding activity, you will transfer to your hotel for lunch and relaxation and later in the evening you will transfer back to the park to participate in the evening game drive in the activity. After lunch and relaxation, you will transfer back to the park to participate in the evening game drives where you will get to see a number of animal species you should have missed seeing during the early morning game drives.

Day 3: Early morning game drives and cultural tours

Game Drive Experience: On day 3 of your 4 days akagera national park safari, you will be picked by your guide who will transfer you to Akagera National Park to have the last chance seeing the animals in the park like the early risers, all the big five animals the lion and leopards trying to catch prey in the buffalos along the water sources, rhinos grazing in the plains. Other early risers in the park include the zebras, impalas, topis among other attractions in the park. Later on you will transfer to transfer the Humure refugee village where you will get to know more about the culture of the people like the traditional honey harvesting process, you be taught on how to prepare milk, ghee making, be taught traditional methods of farming among other interesting features in the park.

Day 4: Kigali city tour and departure

Kigali city tour: On day four of your 4 days Akagera Wildlife Safari, After an early morning breakfast in the park, your guide will transfer you to Kigali city and take part in the Kigali city tour, on reaching Kigali city you will have lunch and after you will participate in the Kigali city tour where you will visit Rwanda’s larges market Kimironko market where you will get to see how Rwandans carry out their daily activities you can also buy souvenirs to take back at home, you will also visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial museum where you will get to know more about the Rwanda genocide and the events that led to the unfortunate event in the country.
Departure: At the end of your tour, you will be dropped off at a location of your choice in Kigali city.
