Detailed Itinerary for 7 Days Kenya and Rwanda Safari.
Day 1: Transfer to Amboseli National Park, Game Drive and Walking Safari
Your Kenya safari guide shall pick you up at 7am from your hotel in Nairobi. After a short brief about your safari, proceed on a transfer to Amboseli National Park, with your packed lunch boxes. Arrive in Amboseli National Park and make a game drive with a chance to view lions, elephants, buffalos, monkeys and other kinds of animals. Marvel at the views of the Kilimanjaro Mountain on a clear day, with a guided walking safari in the park. Later proceed to the camp, check in and relax as you wait for dinner and overnight stay at your selected lodge.
Day 2: Transfer to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Evening Game Drive in Masai Mara Kenya
After breakfast, drive to Masai Mara National Reserve enjoying amazing views of communities and scenic views. Have an en-route lunch, and arrive in the late afternoon hours in the park.
Enjoy a sunset game drive, introducing you to the wild game of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Proceed to the lodge, relax as you wait for dinner wait for at the camp, and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Day Game Drives in Masai Mara
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge ahead of your game viewing activity in the open savannah plains of the reserve with your picnic lunch. You will search for a variety of wildlife species since they are more active at this time of day such as the big five which include lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinos as well as other wildlife species such as such as giraffes, elephants, wildebeest, elands, zebras, topis among others.
You will enjoy your lunch after your morning game drive as you enjoy the beautiful scenery around the reserve and watch wildlife species grazing in the plains. After lunch, you will have another game drive in the reserve and then proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 4: Transfer to Nairobi, Flight to Kigali (Own Booking)
You will have an early breakfast at your camp and thereafter proceed to transfer to Nairobi, arriving in time for your booked flight to Kigali.
Upon your arrival, you shall be transferred by your guide to your hotel of stay for dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Kigali.
Day 5. Transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Iby’iwacu Cultural Tour
Drive Time: Approx. 3 hours
After breakfast, proceed to transfer to Volcanoes National Park with a lunch stop en-route. Once at the lodge, check in, relax as you look forward to your gorilla trek the next day. Enjoy a culture experience as well. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park, Transfer to Kigali
You will enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water for briefing by the park ranger guides at 7:00am. After briefing, you will start your gorilla trekking journey accompanied by the ranger guides in search of the mountain gorillas; this takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas.
However, the guides will try to find them from where they were last seen the previous day! After the one hour encounter with the gentle giants, you will drive back to Kigali. Dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 7: Departure to Nairobi (Own Booking)
After breakfast, you shall be dropped off at the Kigali airport in time for your flight to Nairobi. This brings your 7 Days Safari to an end.
