Detailed Itinerary for 10 Days Tanzania and Zanzibar Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Manyara national Park Game Drive and Walking Safari
Upon arrival, meet your safari driver who will welcome you for the safari and after short briefing, you will start your journey to Lake Manyara national park. You will enjoy an amazing introduction to the Tanzania wildlife with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. After your picnic lunch, embark on a guided nature walk and get closer to the natural surroundings in the park including animals like elephants, giraffes, zebras, among others; and also enjoy the beautiful views around. After the nature walk you will be driven to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park – afternoon/evening game Drive
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Serengeti National Park.
After having lunch, you will engage in a late afternoon game drive as you search for wildlife species in the savannah plains such as the big five like elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos and also enjoy the beautiful scenery such as the kopjes where lions can be seen as they watch their prey. You will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge and your guide will drive you on a morning game viewing experience around the central part of Serengeti national park where you will search for wildlife species like lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, kudu, rhinos among others.
After having your picnic lunch enjoyed in the wilderness, you will engage in an afternoon game drive around Serengeti national park as you look out for wildlife species and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Drive
After breakfast at the camp, you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. With your packed lunch you will descend the 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater for amazing wildlife viewing opportunities and to enjoy the beautiful scenery, including the big 5 Ngorongoro animals.
You will look out for a variety of wildlife species, which include wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants as well as predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopard. After the game drive, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Tarangire National Park Game Drive – Arusha
On this last day of your 5 Days Tanzania Safari, you shall have your breakfast at the lodge and with your lunch boxes, drive to Tarangire National Park for an amazing half day wild game viewing experience. Tarangire National Park is famous for large herds of elephants, and large baobab trees. Look out for other animals in the park like zebras, giraffes, lions, large herds of elephants which the park is famous for, and so much more.
Enjoy lunch in the wilderness, drive to Arusha, dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 6: Fly to Zanzibar
Enjoy breakfast then check-out of the lodge and drive to Seromera airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Flight with Flight link depart Seromera at 11:30 am via Arusha and arrives on Zanzibar at 14:15 hours. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be welcomed by your hotel driver/safari driver who will take you to the hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Zanzibar city tour – Prison Island and spice tour and Stone town
You will have breakfast at your hotel and after this, you will start your day’s activities. You will take a private boat from Stone town to Changuu Island or Prison Island where you will enjoy seeing the Giant tortoises and during your tour of the island you will also enjoy snorkeling. You will take a boat back from Changuu Island back to Stone town. On this day, you will also engage in a spice tour as you explore the plantations where you will see different exotic spices and also get to know the uses of the spices like cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg among others. After the spice tour, you will return to your hotel, relax and spend the night.
Day 8: Safari Blue Experience
You will enjoy the best boat tour on the island is which is a truly amazing experience sailing in the beautiful traditional Dhows.
