At dawn, you wake up for a morning game drive to see animals rise for a new day then go back to the lodge/tented camp for breakfast. After breakfast, you go back to the wilderness for a full day of game drives. Masai Mara is famous for the Wildebeests Migration where more than a million and a half herds move in from the Serengeti accompanied by zebras and gazelles in search of pasture and water.

Day 06: Transfer To Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Depart Maasai Mara after breakfast, take picnic lunch boxes with you, and proceed to Isebania, the Kenya/Tanzania border. You will pass through the Kenyan countryside driving past towns and villages along the way. This portion of the drive can be long depending on rain as this is a dirt road. Upon arrival at the Isebania Border crossing, you will exchange vehicles as well as driver guides.

Go through immigration and customs logistics and proceed to Serengeti National Park with a Tanzanian driver guide. As you get closer to the Serengeti National Park, enjoy a game drive en route upon entry into the park as you head towards your lodge or camp.

This is a scenic drive through rural East Africa. A good part of this drive cuts across the national park so there is plenty of opportunities to still see amazing wildlife. Depending on your camp location and the stops on your game drive along the way, the drive to the Isebania Border takes between 3-5 hours

Day 07: Full-Day Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

On this day we leave our accommodation after breakfast with a lunch box and spend the rest of the day in the Serengeti plains in search of the animals. If we missed out on the Great wildebeest migration in Masai Mara depending on the time of visit, then we are sure to see the herds in the Serengeti National Park. Among other animals, we are likely to spot lions, leopards, baboons, zebras, hartebeests, elephants, warthogs, and many bird species.

Day 08: Transfer To Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania

After breakfast, we check out and go on with en-route game drives on our way out of the Serengeti via Naabi Hill Gate and enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After arriving in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will have a game drive within the crater and expect to see some of the big five animals such as lions, buffaloes, and elephants.

The Ngorongoro caldera is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. At approximately 20 kilometers across and 600 meters deep, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. Ngorongoro Crater is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater walls; hence, you have the opportunity to find the game easily. After your game drive you will be driven outside of the park to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 09: Transfer To Tarangire National Park, Tanzania

This day we are off after breakfast to the third largest Tanzania national park; Tarangire National Park. This beautiful park is highlighted by the abnormally large herds of gigantic elephants and the massive baobab trees that dot the park.

This park is also the home of some of the rarest birds and animals like the Oryx which can be spotted in this park in Tanzania. The Tarangire River is the lifeline of the animals in this park and this turns the river bank into an active field of the wild as animals converge amidst the risk of predators as they come for the valuable drop of water.
