This 13 Days Uganda Safari Experience takes you on a 2 weeks’ adventure in Uganda. During this safari, you will visit Uganda’s top national parks including Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Impenetrable and Lake Mburo national parks. One of the main highlights of this tour is gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park and chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park.

Detailed Itinerary for 13 Days Uganda Safari Experience
Day 1; Pick up and Drive to Murchison falls national park
You will be picked up by your guide who will welcome you and you will have a short briefing about your safari and continue your drive to Murchison falls national park. You will have a stop at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking and you will have lunch in Masindi town through Kichumbanyobo gate. You will visit the top of the falls and then proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2; Game drive and Launch cruise
After having breakfast, you will have a game drive where you will spot various wildlife species like elephants, giraffes, lions, kobs and many others. You will have lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise along the Nile and you will enjoy seeing the Murchison falls as well as hippos and crocodiles. You will return to your lodge after the launch cruise for dinner and for overnight.
Day 3; Drive to Kibale national park
After having breakfast, you will be met by your guide as you prepare for your drive to Kibale forest national park. You will spend about 7 to 8 hours driving and also have lunch en route. You will proceed to your lodge where you will have your dinner and spend the night.
Day 4; Chimpanzee tracking and Optional Guided Nature walk
After early morning breakfast, you will drive to Kibale forest for your chimpanzee tracking activity. You will have a briefing at the park headquarters and then proceed to the forest. You will see various primate species like chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, forest elephants as well as various bird species. You will return to your lodge after the activity for dinner and overnight.
Day 5; Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park
After breakfast at your lodge, you will engage in a nature walk at Bigodi wetland where you will see various bird species. You will continue your drive to Queen Elizabeth national park with a stop at the equator. You will arrive late in the afternoon and spend the rest of the evening at your lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 6; Game drive in Ishasha Sector and boat cruise on Kazinga channel
You will have breakfast and set off for a game drive in Ishasha sector where you will encounter tree climbing lions, buffalos, waterbucks, kobs as well as various antelope species.
In the afternoon, you will engage in a 3 hours’ launch cruise along the Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth national park and you will enjoy seeing many hippos during your boat cruise as well as many bird species along the shores of the lake. You will return to your lodge after this experience for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Lion Tracking Experience and Full Day Game Drive
On the 7th day, headout for a lion tracking experience in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 8; Drive to Bwindi National Park
Your guide will drive you to Bwindi national park after breakfast at your lodge. You will drive for about 5 hours and also have an en route lunch on the way to Bwindi national park. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking and Community Walks
You will have breakfast at your lodge in the national park and with your packed lunch, you will proceed to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the gorilla trekking activity.
You will proceed into the Bwindi impenetrable forest where you will search for the gorillas and you will spend with them about 1 hour. You will have an optional community visit where you will interact with the local community and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi and Evening Boat Cruise
You will have breakfast at your lodge and then proceed to Lake Bunyonyi where you will spend the whole day enjoying boat trips and visiting the islands. You will return to your lodge after you experience at Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 11: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
You will have breakfast at your hotel at Lake Bunyonyi and after this you will be driven to Lake Mburo national park where you will check in at your lodge and have lunch as you prepare to engage in a nature walk. After lunch, you will have time to relax at your lodge as you prepare for a nature walk in the evening. During the nature walk, you will see wildlife species such as topis, duiker, oribi, reedbucks, klipspringer, leopards, impala as you explore the wilderness of this national park on foot. You will be driven by your guide back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise
After breakfast, you will move with your packed lunches for a morning game drive. During the morning game drive, you will see a variety of wildlife species which are more active at this time of day such as elands, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, topis, reedbucks, klipspringers, leopards.
After your morning game drive, you will be driven back to your lodge where you will enjoy the atmosphere and the scenery around as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise. During the boat cruise, you will watch the beautiful sunset as you cruise on the waters of Lake Mburo where you will see wildlife species as they graze not far from the lake shores such as Nile crocodiles, buffaloes, antelopes hiding behind marshes. You will also see a variety of birds such as kingfisher, herons, pelicans, mosque swallow. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Drive to Kampala
After having breakfast, you will embark on a journey back to Kampala which will take about 6 to 7 hours’ drive. You will have an en route lunch and also stop at the equator where you will enjoy taking photos and watching the experiments at the equator and also visiting the craft shops. You will proceed to Kampala where you will be dropped off by your guide at a location of your preference which will bring your safari to an end.
