Day 1: Pick up and fly to Kidepo valley national park-evening game drive
On the first day of the four-day Kidepo Flying Safari, our driving guide will pick you up from your location, brief you on the safari, and then bring you to Entebbe International Airport for your domestic flight with Bar Aviation to Kidepo Valley National Park. When you arrive at Apoka airstrip, our driver guide will meet you and transport you to the resort for lunch.
Following lunch, you will rest at the lodge before embarking on an evening game drive to see elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, klipspringers, reedbucks, bush bucks, bat-eared fox, jackals, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, and other wildlife. After the game drive, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and Karamajong cultural tour
On the second day of the four-day Kidepo flying safari, after an early breakfast, you will meet your driving guide for a morning wildlife drive in Narus valley, also known as a water provision site. The Narus valley draws a great number of animals, including buffaloes, elephants, and Uganda kobs, all of which will drink in the valley. You will also be able to see several bird species, among others. Following the game drive, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go on an intriguing cultural excursion during which you will get the opportunity to engage with the Karamajong who reside in the adjacent villages. During the cultural trip, you will get the opportunity to learn about their culture, traditions, and way of life, as well as see the Karamojong manyattas and experience traditional music and dances. After the cultural trip, you will return to the lodge for dinner and sleep, as described above.
Day 3: Game drive to Kidepo valley and hot springs
On the third day of your Uganda wildlife safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge for a game drive in Kidepo Valley, where you will be rewarded with great views of wildlife species such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, elands, reedbucks, oribi, giraffes, Uganda kobs, kudus, elephants, bushbucks, and various bird species such as ostriches. Following the game drive, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will proceed on an afternoon game drive to Kanagorok hot springs, which is one of the greatest spots in Kidepo Valley National Park for sitting, relaxing, and enjoying views of the lovely scenery, as well as interacting with locals and seeing different bird species and vegetation. After the Kanagorok hot springs drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and sleep, as described above.
Day 4: Morning game drive and fly to Entebbe.
On the final day of the four-day Kidepo flying safari, you will have a leisurely breakfast before your driving guide picks you up from the lodge for another game drive, where you will be able to see any of the animals that you may have missed on earlier game drives.
After the wildlife drive, you will return to the resort for lunch before checking out and heading to Apoka airfield for your domestic flight back to Entebbe International Airport.
