Rwanda Budget Safaris Tours : My parents and I recently took a budget trip to Rwanda. We stayed in Kigali for two nights and visited several landmarks, including the National Museum of Rwanda.
Rwanda is a beautiful country with an amazing history. The country was devastated by the genocide 25 years ago but is now thriving. We went to a restaurant called Gorillas. The decor and the food were incredible! We also went on a cultural tour and saw some really interesting sites.
We visited a genocide memorial site that was quite moving. There were photos of the victims as well as the names of the people who were killed in these horrific events. I felt very emotional when I was there. It reminded me of all the people who suffered during this terrible time in history.
Overall, we had a great time in Rwanda and I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering taking a trip to Africa. If you are travelling on a budget, it’s the perfect destination. There are plenty cheap places to eat, and the price of accommodation is very reasonable too.
Day 1 – Arrive in Kigali and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city and relaxing by the pool. Go to a local restaurant for dinner that night. We arrived in Kigali in the evening and checked into our hotel for the night.
It was a relatively cheap hotel located in the heart of the city. We had a room and swimming pool to ourselves which was perfect for relaxing after a day of travel. We spent the next few hours exploring the city and just enjoying the beautiful scenery. We then had dinner at a traditional Rwandan restaurant before returning to the hotel for the night.
Day 2 – The next day we were up bright and early for a walking tour of the city led by a local guide. Our first stop was the National Museum. It was really interesting to explore the museum and learn about the history of the country. Our next stop was the local market where we got the opportunity to sample some of the local foods. Then it was on to the next destination on the tour which was a visit to a local orphanage. The children were all really excited to see us and they gave us a tour of their facilities, Rwanda Budget Safaris Tours . That was definitely a highlight for me. The tour lasted for a few hours and then it was time for us to head back into the city. That night we had dinner at a restaurant near our hotel. The next day was another adventure as we set off for one of our scheduled activities – gorilla trekking! We visited one of the gorilla tracking centers and spent a few hours in the jungle watching these amazing creatures in their natural habitat. I had the time of my life on my Rwanda safari tour! It was like something out of an Attenborough documentary! It’s certainly an experience I will never forget. We finished our trip with another night at our hotel and then it was time to head back to reality!
