Trip description
Day 1: Drive to Volcanoes national park
After you have received your Covid-19 negative test results or whenever you are ready to start your safari, you will drive to have a brief Kigali city tour visiting the Kigali Genocide memorial grounds and the Kimironko market and head out to Musanze for lunch. After lunch, take some time to visit the Dian fossey gorilla fund museum for some insight in the works of Dian fossey.
Drive to your hotel in Volcanoes national park to check in and have dinner.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trek and cultural tour
Wake up for you mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park Rwanda. You will be served with an early breakfast at your hotel and meet your driver guide to connect to the park reception for a briefing before you set out to the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. You will hike in the forest for about 2 to 4 hours until you come across the gentle giants in their natural habitat.
You will have lunch and after cooling off, connect to the Iby’iwachu cultural center for your cultural experience by the Rwandan people. Drive back to your hotel before night fall. Dinner will be served at your hotel and you will spend another night in the park.
Day 3: Drive to Nyungwe forest national park for canopy walk
Wake up early enough to drive to Nyungwe forest national park via Kibuye. You will have breakfast and connect with your driver guide to drive southwards to Nyungwe forest with an enroute lunch.
You will arrive in time for the 2pm canopy walk of Nyungwe. Take on this 2 meters long 9 meters high suspended bridge which gives you a view of the Nyungwe forest from a bird’s point of view. Connect to your accommodation for dinner and first night in Nyungwe forest national park.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer back to Kigali
By 5am you will be up and ready to join the team headed for the chimpanzee trekking. You will drive to the briefing point to connect with your ranger guide and hire a porter if need be and set out into the forest. You will see the chimpanzees swinging from one tree branch to another branch and their sounds will be heard all the way to the starting point of the trail.
After the chimpanzee trek, you will connect with your driver guide to drive back to your hotel to check out and drive back to Kigali for drop off at your hotel or the Kigali international airport as you will advise.
